Clear Vision, Brighter Future: NTAC Hosts Free Eye Care Outreach For Staff with Peacechris Eye Clinic

The Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) recently organized an Eye Health Awareness Session for its staff in collaboration with Peacechris Eye Clinic. The event, held at the NTAC Complex in Abuja, was part of NTAC’s ongoing efforts to promote staff welfare and workplace health, under the leadership of the DG/CEO, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub.

The initiative provided a comprehensive suite of services, including free eye tests, counseling, and a health talk on preventive eye care and vision safety. The outreach aimed to educate staff on the importance of regular eye examinations, healthy visual habits, and early detection of eye-related conditions.

Amb. Saidu D. Muhammad, Deputy Director Administration, representing the NTAC DG and Management, expressed appreciation to the medical team led by Dr. Peace Adaobi Okafor, Team Lead of Peacechris Eye Clinic, for their collaboration, noting that the exercise reflects the Corps’ consistent drive to ensure a healthy, motivated, and productive workforce. He added that NTAC will continue to support initiatives that enhance staff wellness and work efficiency.

Dr. Peace Adaobi Okafor commended NTAC’s management for prioritizing staff welfare and workplace well-being. She emphasized the significance of preventive eye care, noting that many vision problems can be managed or avoided through early detection and proper lifestyle habits.

Furthermore, Peacechris Eye Clinic offered corrective glasses at a significantly discounted price to those who were identified as needing them following the examination.

Staff members expressed gratitude to the DG/CEO, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, and the NTAC Management team for the initiative, which provided them with free professional eye checks and expert medical advice.

The eye care outreach continues on Tuesday, 30th October, 2025. NTAC encourages all staff members who have not yet taken advantage of this opportunity to do so.

This exercise is part of NTAC’s broader health and safety initiative, designed to strengthen staff productivity and well-being, aligning with the organization’s mandate of advancing Nigeria’s soft power diplomacy through volunteer service.
