The DG who said he was stepping aside on his on terms, expressed gratitude to all BPSR Stakeholders among whom are but not limited to the European Union, the World Bank, the Macarthur Foundation and the Press for their support of governance reforms in Nigeria.

Responding after the goodwill messages by the staff, the Ag. DG, Mr. Arabi commended the out-going DG for his exemplary leadership and dedication urging him to remain accessible as his wealth of experience will remain invaluable to the Bureau.

On behalf of the Staff, the Ag. DG conferred on Dr. Abah the chieftaincy title of “Waziri BPSR” meaning the “custodian of knowledge”. He was then adorned with a blue flowing gown complete with head gear as symbol of office.
