While inaugurating Chairmen and Board members of Parastatals and Agencies under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment earlier today, 1st March, 2018, the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment cautioned them against undue disruption and interference of the day-to day activities of the organizations. The Honourable Minister cautioned the inaugurated Board Chairmen and Members of Board not to interfere as the organizations have management team who should do the day-to-day running of the Parastatals and Agencies.
The inauguration of the Board Chairmen and members of the 14 Parastatals and Agencies under Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment was performed today at NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
Dr. Enelamah urged the new Board members and Chairmen to “accept their appointment as a clarion call to serve.” “We expect that your experience, skills and vision will add great value to our economy and our nation, create jobs and generate wealth for our people”, the Minister said.
The inaugurated chairmen include Rt. Hon. Babangida Ngorue for the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC); Senator Osita Izunaso for National Automoive Design and Development Centre; Mr. Emeka Nwakpa for Consumer Protection Council; Prince Adenekan Gbadebo for Tafawa Balewa Square management Board; Barr. Mela Nunghe for Lagos International Trade Fair Board; Mallam Musa Gwadabe for Industrial Training Fund; Senator Ibrahim Musa for Nigerian Export Promotion Council; Engr. Segun Oni for Nigeri Export Processing Zone; Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah (HMITI) for Standards Organization of Nigeria; Mr. Femi Pedro, Former Deputy-Governor of Lagos State, for Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria; Engr. Mohammed Jibril Imam for Nigerian Commodities Exchange; Chief Timpriye Silver for Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority; Prince Dapo Abiodun for Corporate Affairs Commission and Bolaji Abdulahi for National Sugar Development Council.
Bolaji Abdulahi, the spokesman of the ruling All Progressive Party who was inaugurated as the Board Chairman for National Sugar Development Company assured the Honourable Minister that the inaugurated Board Chairmen and Members will add value to his Ministership of Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
