The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata, has commended five exceptional staff members of the Ministry for their outstanding performance in the on-going Federal Government Digital Literacy Training Programme. The programme, spearheaded by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), aims to equip civil servants with essential digital competencies.
Dr. Kofarmata praised the staff for their dedication to continuous learning, noting that their success reflects the Ministry’s strong culture of professionalism and innovation-driven service delivery. He also applauded the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) for initiating the programme, describing it as a strategic initiative to build a digitally competent workforce.
The Digital Literacy Action Plan, developed in partnership with NITDA and Cisco Networking Academy, seek to enhance productivity and service delivery in today’s technology-driven world. The initiative aligns with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025, the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy 2020-2030, and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

- Ramatu Abdullah
- Emmanuel Ahmed
- Peter Tuwanga
Each recipient was presented with an HP laptop computer by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Didi Esther Wilson-Jack, OON, in recognition of their outstanding performance. The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction was recognized as one of the top-performing MDAs in the service wide training exercise.
