FIC Report (Ebonyi State) – The Federal Government through the federal ministry of Information and National Orientation held a town Hall meeting to sensitized citizenry about the federal government projects in the State.
The town Hall meeting which took place at Abakaliki Local Government Area was attended by people from all works of life.
The Head of Centre, Mrs Bakare Lauretta who represents the Honourable Minister said that the event was to sensitize and to educate the masses about the various federal government projects in the State.
In her welcome address she said that the transformative journey of the present administration’s commitment to the ongoing infrastructural development which comprises of the following:
(1). The ultra modern Cancer center at David Umahi Federal University of Health Science Uburu in Ebonyi State.
(2). The construction of 118.8km coastal highway linking from Calabar, Ebonyi, through Benue, Nasarawa down to Abuja.
(3). The Cassava-to-bioethanol projects in Enugu State and
(4). The 100- bed Mother and Child care centre in Imo State.
These projects are testaments of our president administration to provide social amenities and lend a helping hands to the citizens to better their lives.
The projects were designed to cut across every strata of the divisions and touch the lives of different classes, and for these to have been adequately achieved, the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris fnipr, mandated that all the lofty transformative projects of Mr President should be domesticated and brought to all Nigerians.
The Chairman of the event Chief Agha Okoro B. a retired Chief Superintendent in Ebonyi State Agricultural development project disclosed the importance of sensitizing the masses on Federal Government projects and their achievements within the two years in office.
The key note speaker, Barr, Joseph Ebosele of Code of Conduct Bureau reiterated that president Tinubu’s lead administration has performed creditably virtually in all the sectors aim at improving the well-being of Nigerians. He also said the administration of our president has made substantial strides in promoting development in the South East region over the past two years through targeted investments in Infrastructure, Healthcare and Agriculture.
There was question period towards the end, four participants asked different questions and answers were provided.
