The Edo State Government has commenced the distribution of relief materials to most vulnerable residents across the state.
Governor Godwin Obaseki in his Easter address had said the relief items would be distributed to the elderly, widows, the physically challenged and the homeless, among others. He said the exercise will be conducted in collaboration with traditional rulers, religious leaders and community partners.
The distribution of the materials kicked off Sunday in Benin City, at the Edo COVID-19 Relief Factory, where trucks loaded with relief items were dispatched to different local government areas in the three senatorial districts.
