FIC Report (Edo State) – The Edo State Police Command extends warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful in Edo State on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
This information was made available to newsmen through a statement signed by Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Moses Joel Yamu anipr.
The Command acknowledges the significance of this celebration and urges the Muslim Ummah and indeed all residents of the state to imbibe the virtues of peace, tolerance, love, and unity which the Prophet exemplified and taught.
In line with its mandate of ensuring safety and security, the Command has emplaced adequate security measures. Personnel have been deployed to prayer grounds, recreational centers, and other public places where large gatherings are expected, to guarantee the safety of worshippers and fun seekers before, during, and after the festivities.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika, fdc assures residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order and appeals for continued cooperation with the Police by providing useful and timely information that will aid in crime prevention.
While wishing the Muslim community a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Maulud celebration, the Command enjoins all to be law-abiding and celebrate responsibly.
