FIC Report (Edo State) – In a proactive move to strengthen partnerships and advance technical and vocational education in Edo State, the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Board for Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Barrister Mrs. Onomen Briggs, recently visited the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja. This visit underscores the State’s commitment to fostering collaborations that align with the government’s broader educational development goals.
Mrs. Briggs emphasized that the initiative aligns with Governor Monday Omoregie Okpebholo’s vision of delivering quality education across Edo State. She praised the governor’s unwavering support for educational advancement, particularly in skills development and youth empowerment through vocational training. The purpose of her visit was to strengthen partnerships with federal stakeholders, ensuring a sustainable and impactful approach to technical education.
During her meeting with Dr. Muyibat Adenike Olodo of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education, the discussions centered on building a stronger synergy between Edo State and the federal government to improve the quality and accessibility of vocational training nationwide.
Dr. Olodo lauded Edo State’s proactive engagement and assured the Federal Ministry’s continued support for initiatives aimed at improving technical education outcomes.
