FIC Report (Ebonyi State) – A three – day training workshop on effective communication skills, information management and public relations in South East organized by the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation kicked off today at NTA Network Center Enugu.
The workshop was declared open by the Zonal Director NTA Enugu Network Center, Mr Patrick Iron Noted that he is honoured to serve as host in the workshop.
He further highlighted that training as a tool is designed to provide participants with valuable knowledge that one can apply directly to work in every aspect. Learning continuously and development are paramount to professional growth that needs to excel in relevant fields.
Dr. Chinelo Ude-Akpe who is the resource person from NTA College Jos, spoke on the Topic- Public Relations, that the position of a public Relation Officer is very crucial. The public relation officer manages the reputation of the government of the organization.
A resource person too from NTA college Jos Mr Emmanuel Okondo while speaking on the importance of News writing emphasized on being tactical in discharging your duties. On the other hand, Mrs Ozewe the head Journalism in NTA Jos spoke about public Relation and effective communication skills.
The participants are information officers drawn across the five eastern states.
