Expresses Optimism That Niger State Will Be Given Priority In Agric, Security, And Road Infrastructure.

FIC Report (Niger State) – Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago was among other governors and several All Progressives Congress Stalwarts that attended the 2026 budget presentation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives in Abuja.

The 2026 total budget estimate presented by Tinubu stood at N58.18 trillion and is tagged “Budget of consolidation, renewed resilience, and shared prosperity”.

The farmer Governor commended the President for presenting the 2026 budget, saying the estimate reinforces his commitment to making Nigeria more stable and prosperous in all spheres.

He expressed optimism that Niger State will be given priority, especially in the agricultural sector, as the president has identified food security as a major component of economic stability and social well-being.

The farmer Governor also said the state will not be left out in the 2026 budget in terms of securing lives and property head-on even as the budget will see to the completion of the reconstruction of the deplorable Federal Roads spread across Niger State.

“I want to appreciate my Father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for this wonderful budget presentation, where Agriculture, Security, and Infrastructure were identified among key priority areas in the 2026 budget.

“Niger State has already availed itself as a pilot State for any Federal Government’s Agricultural initiatives, to consolidate on the State’s agricultural revolution policies,

“Again, parts of Niger State are also battling with insecurity. As a gateway between the Northern and Southern parts of the country with the highest number of federal roads, all in deplorable condition, though reconstruction work has commenced on some. So, I am hopeful that the state will benefit from the agriculture, security, and road infrastructure allocations for the year 2026.

The farmer Governor reaffirmed his continued support for the President in his quest to actualise the Renewed Hope Agenda.
