The Federal Government has officially launched the website for the National Youth Conference, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to youth engagement and empowerment.
The newly launched portal, https://nationalyouthconfab.gov.ng will serve as a central hub for information, registration, updates, and participation in the conference, scheduled to take place later this year. Designed with accessibility and interactivity in mind, the platform enables young Nigerians across all 360 federal constituencies, as well as members of the diaspora, to connect, collaborate, and contribute meaningfully.
Speaking at the launch ceremony in his office in Abuja, the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, explained that the Youth Confab will be implemented through a multilevel participatory process — including virtual engagements with the diaspora, constituency level consultations, zonal consolidation meetings, and a culminating national conference in Abuja.
Comrade Olawande further stated that the conference aims to co-create youth-informed, youth-approved, and youth-led solutions around six thematic pillars:
Governance, Leadership, and Political Participation
Economic Transformation, Entrepreneurship, and Job Creation
Education and Skills for the Future
Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation
Climate Change and Energy Transition
Social Inclusion and Security.
He emphasized that the implementation process will be anchored on transparency, respect, inclusivity, and innovation, urging every young Nigerian to seize this opportunity to move “from protest to policy, problems to solutions, and challenges to progress.”
Earlier, Olubunmi Olusanya, Chairman of the National Planning Committee and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, described the Youth Confab as a strategic platform designed to amplify the voices, dreams, and innovative solutions of Nigerian youth across the country. He further explained that the newly launched website serves as a digital gateway to the conference’s success enabling seamless delegate registration, extensive virtual consultations, and acting as its primary information platform.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiating this forward-thinking project and applauded the Honourable Minister for his visionary leadership and relentless commitment to youth development.
