FG Reaffirms Its Commitment towards Curriculum Review in Education Sector

The Nigerian Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing review of the Education curriculum, with the goal of improving the quality and relevance of Education in the Country. The Honourable Minister of State for Education, Hon. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, emphasized this during a meeting with the Management and Students of Stem Child Care Academy at the Ministry Headquarters in Abuja.

Hon. Sununu stated that the review of the Education curriculum aligns with President Bola Ahmed’s vision to rejuvenate the Education Sector, fostering renewed hope and equipping Students with the necessary knowledge and skills for success in the 21st century.

The curriculum review will reflect current global trends, integrate emerging technologies, and foster critical thinking, creativity, and innovation among Children.

In response to STEM CARE Academy, the Minister urged the Management to remain steadfast in imparting Cultural, Religious, and Historical Education on the young ones, which constitutes the essential second component of Education. This, in turn, will nurture strong moral values and character development in the younger generation . Dr. Sununu underscored the pivotal role of Technology, labeling it as a catalyst for Industrial advancement.

Earlier, Mamu Alhaji Muhammad, the CEO of the Academy, urged the Ministry of Education to prioritize the integration of STEM Education into other Schools Nationwide.

Furthermore, the Ministry has also pledged to Partner with the Academy by offering Scholarships to underprivileged Schoolchildren in the Community.

The visit’s highlight was the exhibition of Projects on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics by Students of the STEM Child Care Academy.
