The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development (FMYSD) has reaffirmed its proactive efforts of coordinating every Youth activities and programmes in Nigeria that will address and find solutions to the myriad of problems affecting Youths in the country.
The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung, ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olusade Adesola, made this known during a courtesy visit by the Generation Unlimited and Boston Group. He averred that the  FMYSD has a solid mandate for the Youth as encapsulated in the National Youth Policy, stressing that the Ministry is fully guided in all its programmes and activities/achievements recorded through its Departments, which include but not limited to; improving the vocational and entrepreneurial skills of Nigeria’s teeming Youths across the geo-political zones of the country.
Adesola stated that the FMYSD is statutorily positioned to lead and drive Generation Unlimited initiative of UNICEF to its logical conclusion. Â The Ministry, he continued, has a repository of Youth organisations to harness, coordinate and deploy to ensure the unflinching success and execution of its aims and objectives in all ramifications. To this end, a Secretariat would be established purposely for Generation Unlimited activities and programmes.
Earlier, the Leader of delegation and UNICEF representative, Dr. Victoria Isiramen said the organisation is canvassing for Nigeria’s unwavering support and  partnership to drive Generation Unlimited initiative for the benefit of her teeming Youths. The programme, she stressed, will give more visibility and focus on the Youths to realize their potentials.
Generation Unlimited is primarily aimed at projecting the unlimited abilities of the Youths to be a problem solver in the society through enhancing of skills in vocational, entrepreneurial and digital applications in every human facets.
