FIC Report (Benue State) – The Federal Information Centre, Makurdi, on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, concluded its two-day sensitization campaign on the midterm report of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration with a colourful rally at the High Level Market in Makurdi.
The Head of Centre, Mrs. Irene Iveren Onehi, led the entire staff of the Centre through the streets of High Level, engaging residents and market women on the developmental strides of the Federal Government. She highlighted infrastructural achievements under President Tinubu’s leadership, including ongoing dam construction projects in Tarka, Gboko, and Ugbema in Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State.
Interacting with traders, the Vice Chairman of High Level Market, Victoria Akogwu, expressed joy at the rare opportunity of hosting federal government officials in their market. She commended the Tinubu administration for its giant strides in education, particularly the NELFUND student loan scheme, and appealed for soft loans to empower market women. She further urged government intervention in water supply and sanitation facilities within the market.
Other speakers at the event applauded the government’s efforts but stressed the urgent need to prioritize security across the country.
The campaign, which also featured the distribution of flyers and sensitization materials, took the message of renewed hope and infrastructural transformation directly to the grassroots in Makurdi.
