First Lady of Nigeria Flags Off ‘Exercise Haske Biyu 2025’ in Jaji Military Cantonment

FIC Report (Kaduna State) – In pursuit of a holistic approach to national security and sustainable development, the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has officially launched Exercise Haske Biyu 2025 at the Jaji Military Cantonment, Kaduna State.

Represented by the wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, the First Lady was warmly received at the Air Force Base by the First Lady of Kaduna State, Hajiya Hafsat Uba Sani. She reaffirmed her dedication to supporting government initiatives that foster peace, unity, and security across the country.

Delivering her address under the theme “Family and National Security,” Hajiya Nana Shettima emphasized that national security is not limited to physical or military defense but also includes economic, environmental, and cyber dimensions, all of which depend on family stability. She described family and national security as twin pillars of a stable and prosperous society.

Speaking on behalf of Governor Uba Sani, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarebe, reiterated Kaduna State’s commitment to embedding moral values in government policies and programs.

The Inspector General of Police, represented by AIG Mohammed Usaini Gumel, stressed the role of strong family structures in protecting society from crime and social vices.

In their goodwill messages, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the representative of the CAN President, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, both underscored the importance of parents in nurturing discipline and moral values among children.

Earlier, the Commandant of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Idris Alhaji, commended the First Lady for championing social integration, noting that the exercise is timely and relevant to addressing Nigeria’s complex security challenges.

Exercise Haske Biyu 2025 is a national problem-solving platform designed to tackle security challenges through a whole-of-society approach, promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development.
