The Director Overseeing office of the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman has officially retired from the civil service after the statutory retirement age of 60 years. Until his retirement, he was the Director of finance and accounts department and also the Director overseeing office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.

In his handing over speech, the retired Director expressed his sincere appreciation to the Hon. Minister, Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa and the entire staff for their support and the opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of the Ministry.

Alh. Suleiman said “he was immensely proud of what we had accomplished, having navigated the challenging times, embraced innovation, and consistently strived to improve the lives of the citizens we serve”. These successes are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of each and every one of you.

“I am confident the new acting Director overseeing office of the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Ugochi Akudo-Nwosu is the ideal person to lead this Ministry. She brings her wealth of experience, a clear vision, and a proven track record of success. I have no doubt that under her leadership, the Ministry will continue to flourish and achieve even greater heights”.

Therefore, as I embark on this new chapter, I carry with me fond memories of my time here. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given, the friendships I have forged, and the lessons I have learned. I leave this office with deep sense of satisfaction and pride in what we have accomplished together.

The new Director overseeing office of the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Ugochi Akudo-Nwosu in her remarks, thanked the retired Permanent Secretary for his fatherly support and promised to sustain his good legacies.

Ugochi further expressed her willingness to work in harmony with the Hon. Minister and the entire staff in order to ensure the creative economy driven mandate given to the Ministry is fully actualized.

The Ministry’s Directors and Head of Units thereafter took turns to give their goodwill messages to the retired Director Overseeing office of the Permanent Secretary and promised their unalloyed support for the new Director Overseeing Permanent Secretary.
