The Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST) has expressed strong support for excellence in service delivery as the Ministry clinched the award for 2025 Best Performing Ministerial SERVICOM Unit (MSU (Team B), alongside the recognition of the Best Performing Nodal Desk Officer awards.
The awards, conferred under the SERVICOM framework, reflect FMIST’s unwavering commitment to effective, people-centred service delivery in line with the Federal Government’s public service reform agenda.
Speaking on the achievement, the Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Udeh, SAN commended the SERVICOM team for their outstanding performance, noting that the award underscores the Ministry’s determination to place citizens at the heart of governance.
The Minister stated that the recognition affirms our belief that effective service delivery is fundamental to public trust, dedication, zeal and professionalism demonstrated by the Ministerial SERVICOM Unit.
He reiterated that the Ministry will continue to support initiatives that enhance efficiency, accountability and customer satisfaction across all services.
The Permanent Secretary, FMIST, Mr. Philip Ndiomu also lauded the SERVICOM team, describing the achievement as a testament to teamwork and institutional commitment to service excellence.
According to him, the award is a clear indication that when public servants are motivated and committed, service delivery improves significantly. The MSU and the Nodal Desk Officer have exemplified professionalism, responsiveness and dedication to duty.
FMIST leadership noted that the recognition reinforces the Ministry’s resolve to continuously improve service standards and enhance citizens’ confidence in public institutions.
