FMIST Collaborates With NGO For Sustainable Development

Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology collaborate with High-Tech Centre for Nigeria Women and Youths a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) to celebrate 2026 Nigeria Tech Rally for sustainable and technological development of the nation.

Speaking at the event today in Abuja the Director General of National Board for Technology Incubation, (NBTI) Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji said that the theme: “Fostering an Inclusive Digital and Tech-Enabled Economy for Sustainable Development” is apt and added that power today is no longer defined solely by natural resources but by knowledge, technology, innovation and human capital that contribute to the wellbeing of the citizens.
The event is focused on empowering woman, youths and other citizen through technology, digital skill, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, entrepreneurship, career development, promote technology literacy for national development.

Dr. Kazeem charged the youths to use their brain to invent technology that will enhance technological breakthrough of the country and increase foreign earnings and reduce poverty to the barest minimum.

Earlier, the President and Chief Executive Officer for High-Tech Centre for Nigeria Women and Youths, Dr. Wunmi Hassan said that the rally is the fifth edition, and the process has produced highly talented youths, and women that has innovated alternative source of energy capable of enhancing industrialization of the country.
The event took place in Abuja with a physical rally and panel sessions; it also ran simultaneously in all the six Geo-political Zones virtually.
