In a strategic bold step towards implementation of the Presidential priorities and Honorable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology Ministerial Deliverables in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present Administration, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Mr. Philip Ediomu today in Abuja, inaugurated 14-man Planning Committee for strategic workshop on the implementation.
According to the Permanent Secretary, the workshop is designed to provide a structural platform for stakeholders to critically review the Presidential priorities and Ministerial Deliverables in tandem with the Ministry’s mandate of Innovative driving solution that translate Research into practical home grown technology for economic and value creation.
Mr Philip pointed out that the Ministry is working in collaboration with Foreign Common Wealth and Development Office-Partnership for Agile Governance and Climate Engagement (FCDO-PACES) to develop a robust programme and ensure that the workshop is practical, impactful and result oriented that will contribute to economic diversification of the country.
He charged the Committee members to work assiduously to develop a structured framework that will enhance the achievement of the Ministerial Deliverables of the Hon Minister.
Earlier the team lead of the FCDO-PACE, Dr. Umaru Abu who also serves as the facilitator of the committee congratulated the members and reiterated the urgency of their task and urged them to work with the speed of light to bring the Honorable Minister’s aspiration to life through innovative restructuring and well defined pathways for socio-economic development.
Dr. Abu added that the committee will critically examine actionable strategies that will enable the Ministry to align more constructively and structurally with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
