The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST), Mrs. Esuabana Nko Asanye has said that, for Civil Service to attain a greater height, honesty, faith, courage, joy and love must be inculcated into the lives of Civil Servants.
Mrs. Esuabana made this statement during the SERVICOM Customer Service week celebration today, in Abuja.
According to the Permanent Secretary, SERVICOM was established in march 21st 2004 as a Presidential initiative saddled with the responsibility of rendering quick and satisfactory service in all Government Agencies and Nigerians at large.
She said that the theme of this year’s event: “Mission Possible’’ is apt, therefore it means that Nigerians can achieve its mission, adding that civil servants should work with best of their ability through punctuality and commitment to duties.
Esuabana also called on our Engineers and Technicians to find solutions to energy problem through local inventions and initiatives in order to enhance industrial growth in the country.
She then commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ensuring that security issues are tackled in the country, making it possible for citizens to go about their businesses without security threat.
Speaking, the representative of the National Coordinator Servicom, Dr. Ben Onche Olufu said that in terms of Service Delivery, there is no mission that is impossible and in order to achieve the impossible, it requires strategy, collaboration, commitment, team work, creativity, resilience and excellence.
Earlier, the Deputy Director Reform Coordination Service Improvement and Innovation, Mrs. Emma Expo said that the Customer Week is aimed at recognizing and appreciating customer, support teams, improve staff engagement, strengthen stakeholder’s relationships amongst others.She added that the Ministry is committed to harnessing the power of Science, Technology and Innovation in improving the lives of Nigerians.
