
The Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Regional Development, (FMRD), Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe, has reassured staff of the management’s commitment to addressing all the concerns raised by staff, stressing that creating an enabling work environment is essential to enhancing productivity.
The Permanent Secretary who was speaking during the Quarterly Town Hall meeting with Staff Union of the Ministry held today, at the OSGF Conference Hall Federal Secretariat Phase 1, Abuja, reiterated that the welfare of staff remains a top priority for the Ministry.
She announced that by the end of the year, the Ministry aims to become fully digitalized and operate as a paperless institution, which she described as a major step towards modernization and efficiency, even as she encouraged all staff to take advantage of every available opportunity to enhance their computer literacy and digital skills.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Union, Mr. Ben Ogede noted the non-attendance of the Honourable Minister (HM) at the meeting and expressed the hope that future meetings will benefit from his presence for stronger engagement and communication with staff.
Issues discussed include: Ministry’s proposed training programmes and general staff welfare.
