The Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Pastor Calab Ajagba has charged men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to be creative in reducing carnages in Nigeria roads and assist Abians to drive safe.
Pastor Ajagba gave the charge while receiving in audience, a delegation of the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Abia State, Corps Commander Paul Ugwu at the Government House, Umuahia.
He said that improving the livelihood of the people of the State is one of the cardinal agenda of the Governor Alex Otti led administration.
The Chief of Staff informed that the government has already started tackling traffic challenges in the State including that of Isigate Umuahia to achieve free flow of traffic and ensure touts were dismantled in the area. He said the present administration is focused and embraces law and order, hence would partner the Agency in getting plate numbers for government vehicles.
Pastor Ajagba, assured that the State government would do all within its powers to assist the Agency accomplish its task, said the various requests of the Corps Commander would be looked into with a view to ensuring a more robust relationship.
He appreciated the Abia State Command of the Corps for the good works it does in the State.
Earlier, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Abia State, Corps Commander Paul Ugwu said he came to identify with the Chief of Staff and highlighted some things he would want the office to do in assisting the Command to carry out its job.
He requested for synergy between the Federal Road Safety Corps and Abia State Traffic Management Agency.
