Head Of Civil Service Of The Federation Holds 5th Edition Of Service-Wide Virtual Meeting

FIC Report (Abuja) – According to the Director, Press and Public Information Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, has successfully hosted the 5th Edition of the Service-Wide Virtual Meeting on 5th February 2026 with Federal Civil Servants, reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and improved service delivery in the Nigerian Civil Service.

The virtual engagement brought together civil servants from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) across the country, providing a strategic platform for interaction, knowledge sharing, and strengthening communication within the Service.

In her address, Mrs. Walson-Jack emphasized the critical role of the Civil Service as the engine room of government and a key driver of national development. She noted that the meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to promote transparency, inclusiveness, and collective participation in the ongoing reforms within the Federal Civil Service.

Mrs. Walson-Jack reiterated the importance of professionalism, innovation, and accountability among public servants, stressing that the success of government policies and programmes largely depends on the commitment and dedication of the workforce. She highlighted the ongoing reforms under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP 2021–2025), aimed at repositioning the Civil Service for improved efficiency, digital transformation, and enhanced service delivery to Nigerians.

The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions, share ideas, and seek clarification on issues relating to welfare, performance management, and service reforms. The Head of the Civil Service encouraged civil servants to remain committed to excellence, continuous learning, and the adoption of modern technologies that will support the transformation of the Service into a world-class institution.

The Service-Wide Virtual Meeting, held periodically, continues to serve as an important platform for fostering unity, strengthening collaboration, and driving innovation across the Federal Civil Service.
