FIC Report (Delta State) – The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, on Tuesday, presented cheques totaling ₦37,663,936 to thirty-five families of police officers who died while in active service.

The payments, made under the IGP Family Welfare Scheme and Group Life Assurance, were delivered on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.

CP Abaniwonda commended the sacrifices of the fallen officers, assuring the families that their loved ones’ service and dedication will never be forgotten by the Nigeria police force. He noted that the welfare of both serving and deceased officers’ families remains a priority for the IGP.

One of the beneficiaries, Miss Chidinma Paul, thanked the IGP for his generosity, pledging that the funds would be used judiciously.
