
The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, has inaugurated a Technical Working Group to revamp the State House Medical Centre. The committee’s primary objective is to transform the medical centre into a world-class facility through a public-private partnership.
Dr. Alausa revealed that President Tinubu had tasked him with actualizing the transformation of the State House Medical Centre. This directive is part of the administration’s commitment to making tough decisions that yield positive results.
The Technical Working Group’s terms of reference include:
- Framework implementation
- Procurement process management
- Evaluation and recommendations
- Stakeholder engagement and diligence
- Contract repository support and timelines
- Deliverables
The Technical Working Group comprises carefully selected members with impeccable track records, including:
• Dr. Salma Ibrahim Anas, Chairman (Special Adviser to the President on Health)
• Mr. Funmi Badmus, SA on Special Duties
• Prof. Tunji Olaopa, Chairman, Civil Service Commission
• Ibrahim Abdulkadir, Deputy Director, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation
• Obi Alio Chekeubechi, Ministry of Justice
• Dr. David Atuwo, mni, Ministry of Education

Dr. Alausa urged the committee to be diligent and efficient in delivering their mandate. He emphasized the importance of transforming the State House Medical Centre into a world-class facility, citing the need for improved healthcare services and job creation.
