FIC Report (Benue State) – The project manager Bauhaus construction company Mr.Charbel Alannar assured The Nigeria Union of Journalists members NUJ Benue State council of constricting a special drainage system to channel the water out, and the installation of solar light around the underpass in the state. This was made during a press briefing at the NUJ house Makurdi.
Mr. Alannar made this statement on Tuesday 30th September,2025 at NUJ House in Makurdi during the NUJ Congress.
He said that the completion of the underpass was delayed due to the inclusion of additional components, He expressed confidence that the company has the capacity to execute all the work which the company is currently handling.
Furthermore, He disclosed that there will be traffic control, and the maintenance aspect is included in the contract arrangement.
Speaking at the Congress, the Director General, Engineering services, Bureau for special project and Infrastructure Engineer, Professor Gabriel Akpen, represented by the Engineer Naomi Hembadoon Nongo said that the delay of the ongoing road construction was because of the unfavorable weather challenges experience by the contractor.
Engineer Nongo added that the 13 of the roads have received attention out of the 21 in Makurdi which is at 33% percent completion totally.
In his remarks, the NUJ chairman Comrade Bemdoo Ugber welcomed and expressed profound gratitude to the officials of Bauhaus construction company members for discharging their duties effectively.
He encouraged them to do more for the progress of the state
