In keeping with the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting staff welfare and fostering inter-agency unity, the Nigeria Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) joined staff from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium for a vibrant inter-ministerial sports fiesta.

The event, held on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, featured enthusiastic participants dressed in colourful and coordinated sports club attires. The atmosphere was cheerful and energetic as civil servants converged for a day of fitness, fun, and fellowship.

Key attendees included Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation; Dr. Tunji Olaopa, Chairman, Federal Civil Service Commission; and Dr. Shuaib Belgore Ajani, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior. The NTAC DG was represented by Ambassador S.D. Muhammad, Deputy Director of Administration; and Mr. Martins Ogbonna, Chairman of the NTAC Sports Club.

The NTAC Medical Team was also present, providing medical support and monitoring to ensure the well-being of participants. This thoughtful provision underscored the DG’s commitment to staff welfare and safety.

The event concluded with awards in several categories, including “First in Attendance” and “Highest Number of Participants” won by the Federal Ministry of Works, and “Best Kitted” Ministry won by the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

Dr. Ajani commended the impressive turnout, emphasizing the importance of physical wellness and inter-agency collaboration. The event reinforced the values of service, discipline, and well-being across the federal workforce.

Staff of the NTAC in attendance expressed deep appreciation to the DG, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, for facilitating their participation in the inter-ministerial sports fiesta. They noted that the gesture demonstrated his genuine commitment to promoting holistic staff development and welfare, as encapsulated in his statement, “NTAC remains committed to promoting holistic staff development through participation in impactful initiatives.” The staff appreciated the opportunity to engage in team-building activities, foster camaraderie, and prioritize their physical well-being, all while representing NTAC with pride.
