Jigawa Government Approves N28 Billion Contracts For Education Sector

FIC Report (Jigawa State) – The Jigawa state executive council has approved contracts worth over N28 billion for various projects in the education sector.

This was disclosed by the commissioner for Information, youth, sports and culture Alhaji Sagiru Musa Ahmad during a press briefing after the council meeting chaired by Governor Umar Namadi at the govt house, Dutse.

According to the commissioner N14.23 billion has been earmarked for the procurement of equipments for technical and vocational schools across the state.

Additionally, contracts totalling N14.23 billion were approved for the construction of hostels, auditoriums, health centers, workshops and for the supply of technical and vocational education and training ( TVET) equipments.

He further announced that N830m will be released for the purchase of 10 Toyota Hillux ( 2020 models ) and Fifty Hunter motorcycles.

Alhaji Sagir explained that these measures demonstrate the administration’s commitment to strengthening security and protecting the lives and properties of the jigawa residents.
