FIC Report (Kano State) – Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of Kano students pursuing education in India. In a press release issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf outlined efforts to bolster bilateral relations and support the academic and personal well-being of Kano indigenes in India.
During a recent visit to the Nigerian Embassy in New Delhi, the governor engaged embassy officials in discussions centered on enhancing the safety, welfare, and academic achievements of Kano students. He underscored the pivotal role of these students in driving Kano’s socio-economic development upon their return.
The Acting High Commissioner of Nigeria in New Delhi, Ubong Akpan Johnny, commended Governor Yusuf’s proactive approach, assuring the embassy’s full cooperation in addressing the needs of Kano students and the broader Nigerian community. Musbahu Bashir Sadi, the Head of Chancery at the High Commission, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the visit as evidence of the governor’s dedication to Kano citizens abroad.
