FIC Report (Lagos State) – The Lagos State Government has hinted that Starting from tomorrow, the 10th of February, 2025, the Red Line Rail Service in Lagos will increase its daily trips from two-morning trips to five-morning and four-evening trips. This expansion aims to provide better commuting options for residents traveling between Agbado and Oyingbo, reducing travel time to just 50 minutes and waiting times to two minutes at each station.
According to the statement, the enhanced service is part of the Lagos State Government’s efforts to improve mobility across the city. With “the arrival of three new train sets, the Red Line’s capacity will receive a further boost, solidifying its role in the city’s integrated transport system”, the statement reads.
This development is expected to have a significant impact on the daily lives of Lagos residents, making commutes faster and more convenient. The statement further stressed that “the Red Line is more than just a train service – it’s a game-changer for commuting in Lagos, driving economic growth and improving the quality of life for all residents.
