FIC Report (Kano State) – Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed his satisfaction with the voter turnout in the local government elections, emphasizing that rural residents will benefit the most from the polls. After casting his vote at Chiranchi Ward, Gwale Local Government Area, Governor Yusuf highlighted the state government’s efforts in providing infrastructure, including roads, solar street lights, boreholes, health facilities, and schools, across 44 local government areas.
He noted that with the election of local government council executives, rural dwellers will have direct contact with their representatives, leading to unprecedented development. The governor assured citizens that the newly elected leaders will prioritize their well-being, security, and empowerment, particularly in health, education, and agriculture.
