The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, conveys his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Cheikh Niang, on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Senegal.
The new Foreign Minister, until his appointment, was the Permanent Representative of Senegal to the United Nations. As a career diplomat, Amb. Cheikh Niang is expected to bring his wealth of experience, having held prestigious positions such as Ambassador to Japan, the United States, South Africa, and Consul General in New York to bear on his new assignment.
