FIC Report (Kaduna State) – The Commissioner, of Agriculture Kaduna State Murtala Dabo, hosted the Honourable Minister of Livestock Development, Hon. Mukhtar Idi Maiha in his office. The courtesy visit was about how to strengthen collaboration between the Federal Government and Kaduna State in revitalizing the livestock sector.
The meeting emphasized positioning Kaduna and Nigeria as a hub for dairy and livestock production, reducing dairy import dependence, modernizing abattoirs, establishing ranches, engaging youths, promoting research, developing pastures, ensuring disease control, and opening up international market opportunities.
Immediate next steps were agreed upon, with both parties committed to driving sustainable growth and ensuring the livestock sector thrives for generations to come.
In attendance are the Special Adviser to the Governor (Investment and Promotion), Mal. Sabiu Sani; MD, Kaduna Ranch Development Company Ltd, Ibrahim Yusuf; Dr. Ishak Bello; the DG KADLRA and the Director of Veterinary Services.
