The Hon. Minister of State for Regional Development. His Excellency, Uba Maigari Ahmadu in continuation of his working visit to China has visited Ankai Automobile Co. Ltd. in Hefei, Anhui Province, China, to assess the progress on the manufacturing of e-buses procured by the North East Development Commission (NEDC) for mass transportation in the North East region.
The Minister of State, His Excellency Uba Maigari Ahmadu, was accompanied by Managing Director of NEDC, Mohammed G Alkali, Management and Some Board Members of the Commission.
This visit demonstrates the NEDC’s commitment to improving transportation infrastructure and promoting sustainable development in the region. The e-buses are expected to provide efficient, environmentally friendly, and reliable transportation services, enhancing the quality of life for residents and supporting economic growth.
The Minister’s visit aims at assessing manufacturing in progress and ensuring that the e-buses are being produced according to specifications and timelines.
- Quality control: Verifying the quality of the e-buses and ensuring they meet international standards.
- Delivery schedules: Confirming delivery schedules and logistics for the e-buses to be transported to Nigeria.
