NCC Trains 100 Women On Digital Skills In Zamfara

FIC Report (Zamfara State) – The Nigeria Telecommunication Commission (NCC) has launched a 3 Day Training of 100 women on Digital Literacy Skills held in Gusau, Zamfara State

In his address while declaring the training open, the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Mal. Mani Mumini expressed satisfaction with the training saying that it gives avenue to ensure gender inclusion in the digital economy.

The Governor further commended the NCC for selecting Zamfara State to conduct the training assuring the state Government’s commitment to ensure sustainability of various digital literacy and Skills program in the state

Earlier the Head of Digital Skills And Services NCC, Hajia Hauwa Wakili stated that the Training is aimed at empowering women on Digital Literacy and Skills stressing that the training is part of the initiatives of the commission to support women to become self-reliance in the current digital space adding that it is in line with President Tinubu’s initiatives to enhance Digital economy in the country.

In a keynote address the Executive Vice Chairman NCC Dr. Aminu Maida who was represented by the Kano Zonal Controller of the commission, Abubakar Kurfi describe the training as welcome development especially targeting the gender gap in Digital Literacy urging the participants to utilize this opportunity for better future.
