NIWRMC: Executive Director, Dr. Aminu Zaria to strengthen partnership with water stakeholders to deliver on the mandate of the Commission

The Executive Director of the Nigeria Integrated Water Resources Management Commission (NIWRMC) Dr. Abdulmumini Muhammed Aminu Zaria has said that he will strengthen partnership with the Federal and State Governments including relevant water stakeholders to enhance efficiency and deliver on the core mandate of the Commission.

He stated this when he assumed duty at the Nigeria Integrated Water Resources Management Commission, Abuja.

While delivering his remark, he said that “the work we do is not just a job, it is a national duty. Every action we take contributes to food security, public health, energy and economic resilience for millions of Nigerians”.

The Executive Director expressed his profound appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting him with the vital mandate.

He invited every staff to commit to the mission of the Commission with energy, professionalism and a result driving mindset.

The Acting Executive Director, Mrs. Sakinatu Suleiman Abbo Jimeta while handing over to the new Executive Director said the occasion is not only a leadership transition, but a renewal of the collective resolve to strengthen Nigeria’s water governance framework and safeguard the precious water resources for sustainable development.

“I formally step aside from my role as Acting Executive Director, I want to sincerely appreciate the Honourable Minster of Water Resources and Sanitation, the management and staff of NIWRMC for their unwavering support during my stewardship.”
