NOA Rallies Benue Citizens on Security, Values, and National Development

FIC Report (Benue State) – The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Benue State Directorate, has successfully concluded a week-long sensitization campaign with a roadshow designed to educate citizens on the policies and programmes of the present administration.

The roadshow, which commenced at Wurukum Roundabout and terminated at High-Level Motor Park in Makurdi on Friday, 12th September 2025, drew participation from key stakeholders, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), and members of the public.

In his address, the State Director of the NOA, Comrade Mark Dewua, highlighted the achievements of the administration and emphasized the Agency’s focus on five thematic areas: security awareness, value re-orientation, flood mitigation, identity management, and the promotion of national symbols. He urged Nigerians to embrace and support government initiatives for the collective good.

Also speaking, the Controller of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Mr. Terkula Mngbajime, encouraged citizens to take advantage of opportunities created by the government. He particularly advised drivers to obtain trade test certificates in order to benefit from federal employment schemes.

Responding on behalf of the NURTW, the Financial Secretary of the High-Level branch, Mr. Ameh George, commended the government for policies targeted at alleviating citizens’ hardships. He pledged the Union’s commitment to sensitizing its members on the importance of national values and active citizenship.

Delivering a vote of thanks, the Head of Planning, Research, and Strategy at NOA Benue, Mr. Terwase Kutse, expressed satisfaction with the turnout and reassured the public of the Agency’s commitment to sustained enlightenment and civic engagement. He encouraged citizens to always seek information and actively participate in NOA programmes.
