NTAC Director-General Hosts Party Officials to Christmas Luncheon

………Conveys President Tinubu’s Goodwill Message.

The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, on Christmas Day hosted party officials and stakeholders drawn from the ward, local government, zonal, and state levels to a Christmas luncheon at his residence in Faci, Adamawa State.

In his welcome address, Rt. Hon. Buba conveyed Christmas and New Year goodwill messages from the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

He also delivered goodwill messages from the National Security Adviser and APC leader in Adamawa State, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, as well as the APC National Vice Chairman (North East), Comrade Salihu Mustapha, who sent his apologies for being unable to attend due to other official engagements.

The NTAC Director-General underscored the importance of sustained engagement with party officials and stakeholders, noting that such interactions promote unity, boost morale, and reinforce commitment to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He reaffirmed the growing strength of the APC nationwide, attributing this progress to the people-centred policies and leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Rt. Hon. Buba called on party executives at all levels to remain loyal, united, and focused on grassroots mobilisation, urging them to work closely with party candidates and structures at the ward and unit levels in preparation for future elections. He reiterated that his participation in party activities is motivated solely by his commitment to strengthening the APC and ensuring its continuity, without any personal ambition for elective office.

Responding on behalf of party officials and stakeholders, the APC Chairman, Gombi Local Government Area, Haruna Jonah, alongside the APC State Chairman, Adamawa State, Barr. Idris Shuaibu, commended Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub for his inclusive leadership style and the uncommon gesture of hosting party stakeholders to a Christmas luncheon. They noted that, in the political history of Adamawa State, no past or present member of the House of Representatives had brought party stakeholders together to share Christmas or Sallah meals, describing the initiative as unprecedented.

Speaking further at the event, the APC State Chairman, Adamawa State, Barr. Idris Shuaibu, praised the NTAC Director-General for his consistent, people-centred leadership and commitment to fairness and inclusiveness. He observed that electoral outcomes do not define failure, stressing that true leadership is measured by service, unity, and continuity. Barr. Shuaibu highlighted that Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub’s leadership approach made it possible for all 22 APC ward executives in Gombi Local Government Area to convene in a single meeting—an uncommon feat even in constituencies with sitting representatives.
He further affirmed that the APC in Adamawa State remains united and continues to witness voluntary defections driven by justice, visible development, and renewed confidence in APC governance. He reiterated the party’s commitment to internal democracy and the peaceful conduct of forthcoming congresses.

In conclusion, the APC State Chairman, Adamawa State, Barr. Idris Shuaibu, eulogised Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, DG/CEO of NTAC, as a unifying leader, a fair-minded administrator, and a dependable political figure whose influence has continued to strengthen the APC’s cohesion, credibility, and grassroots connection across Adamawa State.

In his concluding remarks, Rt. Hon. Buba appealed for sustained prayers and support for the President, the Vice President, leaders of the legislature, state governors, and other public office holders, praying that God grants them wisdom, strength, and guidance in service to the nation.

He wished all attendees a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, urging them to promote unity, progress, and party cohesion across their respective communities.
