FIC Report (Abia State) – Outgoing Corps Members have been encouraged not to let the lessons and experiences gained in the course of their service to the fatherland depart from them.
Addressing the 2021 Batch ‘B’stream Il Corps Members deployed to Abia State in Umuahia North L.G.A, during a low-keyed Passing Out Programme, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Julius Ekeh tasked them to always remember that they are products of NYSC particularly as they step into the larger society.
His words “The priceless experiences and knowledge you gained during the service year should be a guiding light to you in the course of your life pursuit. You must therefore be the good ambassadors of NYSC wherever you may find yourselves”.
Ekeh reminded the total number of 736 outgoing Corps Members comprising of 311 Males and 425 Females that NYSC has empowered them through her In-camp and Post camp Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development, SAED programme and should not roam the Streets and Offices looking for White Collar Jobs that are almost not in existence.
“I therefore charge you to take the bold steps towards becoming celebrated business Owners and Employers of Labour by availing yourselves the opportunity of the various business funding options NYSC has exposed you to including loans from CBN, Bank of Industry and many others, so as to become your own boss”, Mr. Ekeh encouraged the Corps Members.
