FIC Report (Anambra State) – The two days Training Workshop with the Theme ‘ Effective Communication Skills, Information Management and Public Relations ‘ organized by the Federal Ministry Of Information And National Orientation has kicked off today at NTA Enugu in the South -East.
Declaring open the event, the Zonal Director NTA, Enugu Network Centre, Mr Patrick Iron noted that he is highly honoured to serve as the host in the important event.
He further said ” Training as we all know is designed to provide participants with valuable skills that one can apply directly to work in our ever evolving world, continuous learning and development are crucial for both professional growth that one needs to excel in relevant field or area.”
Dr Chinelo Ude-Akpen, A Resource Person from NTA College, Jos, who spoke vast on the topic – Public Relations said that the position of a Public Relation Officer is a very critical one.
The Public Relation Officer while managing the public also manages the reputation of the government or the organization.
Another Resource Person from NTA College, Jos, Mr Emmanuel Okondu spoke on the topic – News Writing while Mrs Ozewe, the Head Journalism in the NTA, Jos, also spoke on the topic – Public Relations.
The Participants were Information Officers from the five States of the South -East, namely the Head of Centre Federal Information Resource Centre, Awka: Joy N. Chukwurah; Head of Centre, FIC Enugu: Bona Ugwu; the Head of Centre, FIC Ebonyi: Lauretta Bakare , and other seven Information Officers from the Centres.
