Surveyor General of the Federation (SGoF), Surv. Taiwo S. Adeniran has said that the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGoF) under his leadership would not award contracts based on appropriation.
Surv. Taiwowho said this at the bi-weekly management meeting of OSGoF in Abuja said award of contracts would henceforth depend on funds so far released.
He explained that the arrangement was to prevent OSGoF from incurring unnecessary debts, and operate within the meager resources at its disposal.
The SGoF charged the directors and heads of the various departments/units of the Office be more creative and bring to bear their ingenuity in the conception, planning and execution of projects.
He tasked them to work as a team and keep each department and unit abreast with the levels of their respect projects and activities pointing out that all departments would henceforth present a monthly report for management consideration.
In the same vein, he urged the Director Special Duties Surveys who coordinates the activities of all the zonal directors of the 6 geopolitical zones and Chief Resident Surveyors in the 36 states of the federation to ensure that they come up with relevant activities that would impact positively in their states of operation.
