FIC Report (Sokoto State) – The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has assured that the implementation of the New National Minimum Wage will begin this month in the state.
The Governor gave this assurance recently at the presentation of report by the Committee on the implementation of the New National Minimum Wage and Consequential Adjustments.
He also commended the effort of the Committee members that constituted the Labour Union and Government Representatives for their maturity, patience and patriotism to the people.
A meeting of the State Executive Council had been schedule for Monday, 20th January, 2020 to consider the report of the committee.
While speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Minimum Wage Implementation Committee, Muhammad Namadina Abdurrahman (Alh.), stated that the committee recommended among others, salary and skills assessment of staff and decentralization of salary payments.
