FIC Report (Borno State) – The Federal Information Center, Maiduguri continue to advocates the federal Government’s mission to simplify doing business and improve service delivery for Nigerians.
Borno State ministry of commerce, implement state level – reforms that ease doing business and promote economic growth.
The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council PEBEC, has actively collaborated with the Borno State Ministry of Commerce to enhance the State’s business climate, particularly benefiting in Small and Medium – sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Some potential areas of collaboration includes:
- Streamlining Business Registration: Simplifying and automating business registration and processes to reduce time and cost.
- Reducing Bureaucratic Hurdles: Eliminating unnecessary regulatory requirements and reducing bureaucratic red tape.
- Improving investment climate, creating a favourable investment climate by proving incentives, guarantees, and support services.
- Enhancing Trade facilitation, Improving trade facilitation processes, such as customs clearance and logistics.
- Supporting Small and Medium -sized Enterprises (SMEs), providing support services, such as training, financing, and mentorship, to SMEs.
By working together Borno State Ministry of Commerce, and PEBEC can:
- Improved Business Environment to create a more conducive business environment that attracts investment and promotes economic growth.
- Increase Economic opportunities for citizens and businesses in Borno State.
- Enhance competitiveness of Borno State’s economic and improve its ranking in the Ease of Doing Business index.
Some potential benefits of this collaboration includes:
- Increased investment, attracting more investments to Borno State and promoting economic growth.
- Job creation, creating jobs and improving livelihoods for citizens.
