The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Gabriel Aduda, has described the Creative Industry as the way to go and next to oil in Nigeria. He made the assertion when the CEO Circum Technologies Limited and his delegation, visited the Ministry today in Abuja.
Mr Aduda lauded the initiative of NOLLYACT and pledged the Ministry’s readiness to partner and collaborate with them for the training and development of the youth. He advised the organization to link up with the Ministry’s initiative on NOYA.ng platform for the creation of more awareness and advertisement of the programme to the youth. He expressed optimism that this collaboration with the Ministry would flag the logo of the Ministry.
The Chief Executive Officer of Circum Technologies Ltd, Mr Sylvester Uzoama said the NOLLYACT online is a web based software that streamlines the entire casting process which supports two categories of users; Talents and professionals. He also stated that the web based platform will be launched in the first week of August. Mr Uzoama further stated that the NOLLYACT initiative enables youths to create their own contents and build their career.
He highlighted the benefits of the initiative to include provision of an opportunity to get access to major casting professionals, provision of training clinics, seminars and workshops to help increase talents professionalism amongst others and requested for the Ministry’s collaboration and partnership with the organization.
In his remarks, the Director Enterprise Development and Promotion, Mr Jide Ode-Martins, welcomed the delegation and advised them to educate the Ministry on the benefits to be derived from the initiative.
