FIC Report (Plateau State) – Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day ceremony on January 15, 2025, at the Jos Cenotaph, thanked the Nigerian Armed Forces for their sacrifices in protecting the nation. He promised to support veterans, announcing free transportation for seniors aged 70 and above as the first step.
In his speech, Governor Mutfwang also emphasized the importance of reflecting on how veterans and their families are treated. He urged Nigerians to remember the critical role the military plays in the country’s security and to ensure veterans receive the support they deserve.
The ceremony, held at the JD Gwalk Secretariat Round About, atended by dignitaries, including the GOC 3 Division, the Chairman of Legionnaires in Plateau State, and the Commissioner of Police. Key moments included wreath-laying, prayers for peace, and the release of pigeons, symbolizing peace and hope for the country.
The day ended with prayers for peace and security in the country.
