Plateau Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, Receives Minister Of Defence, Reaffirms Commitment To Tackling Insecurity

FIC Report (Plateau State) – The Plateau State Government has affirmed its dedication to addressing and eradicating security concerns in the state.

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang made this statement during the visit of the Honourable Minister of Defence, His Excellency, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, to Jos on Saturday.

The Governor, represented by his deputy, Mrs Josephine Piyo, emphasised the significance of cooperative efforts in addressing insecurity as collaborative approach will facilitate the evaluation of outcomes, operational strategies, and the implementation of constructive changes from a position of strength.

He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his effective strategies in combating insecurity in Plateau State and the nation as a whole.

Earlier, the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar who is on a two-day visit to Plateau State said his visit was to see and boost the morale of the troops in the state and engage with key stakeholders in Bokkos, Barkin Ladi, Wase, Bassa, and Riyom Local Government Areas.

Abubakar commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his steadfast commitment to addressing the security challenges in the state, noting a significant improvement in the security situation.

The Minister assured the state government of his unwavering determination to combat banditry, farmer-herder clashes, and other security issues in the region.

He called on citizens to support the government in their fight against insecurity and development efforts.
