The Acting Executive Director, Nigeria Integrated Water Resources Management Commission (NIWRMC), Mrs. Sakinatu Abbo Jimeta has said that Performance Management System (PMS) remains a priority area of the Federal Government as the second pillar in the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025 (FCSSIP25).
She stated this while declaring open the workshop organized for staff of the Commission on Performance Management System (PMS) in Abuja.
Mrs Jimeta noted that the Vision of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation informed the ongoing transition from a paper based Annual Performance Evaluation Report (APER) to a digitally driven culture of Performance Management System (PMS).
According to the Acting Executive Director “the Commission has taken it upon itself to make sure that all staff are trained to be in line with the new directive of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.”
The Director, Human Resources Management, NIWRMC, Mr. Abdulmumuni Ajannah while delivering his welcome address said the Government is moving away from analogue to digital because the world is now technically built, adding that the Government introduced PMS to ensure better service delivery.
The Resource Persons Mr. Oyeniyi Opeyemi Samuel, a Principal Administrative Officer, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation presented on the ‘Overview of Performance Management System’ while the second Resource Person,
Mr. John Nwachukwu spoke on ‘Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for the Development of Output-Focused Job Descriptions Report and Speech Writing’.
