FIC Report (Abia State) – The Abia State Police Command has stepped up security operations across the state in strict compliance with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, and in alignment with the marching orders of the Inspector General of Police. This renewed drive followed CP Isa’s security tour of the state on November 22, 2025, during which Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Team Commanders were tasked to reinforce protection around schools, worship centres, and critical infrastructure.
As part of measures to ensure accountability and improve service delivery, the Command has introduced Routine Registers in schools to monitor and evaluate officers assigned to protective duties.
Continuing his security engagement efforts, CP Danladi Isa convened a crucial stakeholders’ meeting with representatives of Traditional Rulers, community leaders, Chief Security Officers of corporate organisations, heads of tertiary institutions, school authorities, and market leaders.
In his address, the CP stressed that such interactions would be held periodically to obtain feedback on security challenges facing communities. He reminded the participants that effective policing thrives on partnership and urged them to provide timely, credible information to the Police while actively collaborating with their respective DPOs and Area Commanders.
CP Isa further charged communities to revive and strengthen their local security watch structures, warning against the shielding of criminal elements. He encouraged stakeholders to take ownership of their environment and work closely with the Command to maintain peace and safety.
He reassured residents that both overt and covert security operations have been heightened, with increased police visibility expected across the state, particularly before, during, and after the festive season. Stakeholders in attendance expressed gratitude to the CP for his proactive approach and pledged total cooperation toward achieving a safer Abia.
In a related development, CP Danladi Isa and the management team held a strategic meeting with representatives of women police officers in the Command to commence activities marking the Nigeria Police Women @ 70 Anniversary.
The CP commended the invaluable role women officers have played in the Nigeria Police Force, describing them as pillars of strength whose dedication resonates both within the state and on international assignments. He urged them to continue pursuing excellence, invest in self-development, uphold discipline—the hallmark of the Force—and remain compassionate in their service as mothers and officers.
