FIC Report (Anambra State) – The Nigerian’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi has recently empowered over two hundred persons in Anambra State, through her Renewed Hope Agricultural Program.
The beneficiaries have undergone two days training in various scheme areas such as vegetable farming, piggery, feed processing etc.
The Wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo while presenting the empowerment items on behalf of Mrs Tinubu at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia disclosed that the beneficiaries were selected through a transparent random process that took note of individual criteria for the training and empowerment programs that ensured equal representation of different women groups, youth organizations, political associations etc.
She further said that economic empowerment remains a core objective of the Renewed Hope Initiative. Through the initiative both women and youths across the six geopolitical zones have been empowered to support the economic reforms of President Tinubu’s government.
In his speech earlier, the Commissioner of Health, Dr Afam Obidike stated that the initiative will produce results in the efforts to transform agriculture in the State, assuring that the beneficiaries will be monitored to ensure that they appropriately deploy the empowerment tools and knowledge acquired.
Some of the beneficiaries Chinyere Udeozor, Queen Anigbogu, Hillary Obiajulu thanked the First Lady, saying that the empowerment tools will greatly help their Agricultural practices.
