Report On Sensitization Camping Organized By Federal Ministry Of Information In Yola – DAY1: 26TH AUGUST, 2025

FIC Report (Adamawa State) – The Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Federal Information Resource Center Yola, has organized a Sensitization Campaign with the theme: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administration Mid-Term Report in Yola, with the aim of sensitizing the people of Adamawa state on the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Town-Hall Meeting which took place at the Conference Hall of the National Library, Yola office. Brought in attendance people from different works of life. Women Groups such as Kauna Women Group Malamre, Al-lhasan Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Jimeta, NYSC and numerous others such as Youth’s Groups in the state attended the workshop.

Some of the important personalities that attended the town-hall meeting includes Prof. Richard Awoshiri Kamai of American University of Nigeria (AUN) Yola, Mr. Bala Dangani, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Adamawa State Director, Ali Mohammed Mayes Director of Media, All People’s Congress (APC) Adamawa state, The General Manager, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Yola, General Manager Alh. Zubairu Abubakar of The Scope Newspaper Yola, the District head of Karewa High Royal Highness Barrister Musa Adamu (Cika Soro Adamawa).

In his welcome speech, the Minister of Information and National Orientation Hon. Mohammed Idris, described the workshop as a stock taking and assessment of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu two years administration.

Mohammed Idris who was represented by the Head of Federal Information Resource Centre Yola Mrs. Rhoda Idi Maina thanked the participants at the workshop and urged them to pass all the messages that would be passed to them at the workshop to people around them at their various places of abode.

The Minister commended the press for keeping Nigerians well informed and enlightened about the developments in the country since the inception of the present administration.

The Guest speaker at the workshop Professor Richard Awoshiri Kamai of American University of Nigeria (AUN) Yola. Commended the Federal Ministry of Information for organizing the workshop because it is always important for government to adequate inform its citizen on its activities to win their support.

He revealed that over ten thousand teachers were recently trained and allocated teaching computers in Adamawa state under the education support program of President Tinubu, while over 5,200 female livestock farmers in Taraba state were empowered.

Professor Kamai further revealed that N5.7BN Gashua Water project was launched in Yobe state as part of efforts of President Bola Tinubu administration to provide portable drinking water to the people.

The Guest speaker also listed the establishment of Nigeria Education Loan Fund, where over 300,000 students have so far benefited among other achievement of the present administration in the country.

In his speech, the Royal Father at the event, His Royal Highness Barrister Musa Abdu (Cika Soro Adamawa), commended the Federal Ministry of information for organizing the workshop and urged Nigerians to give more support to the Federal government to enable it to deliver more democracy dividends to the citizens.

He urged Nigerians to be patience with government at all levels and to always pray for leaders at various levels to succeed for the benefit of the common man.

The District Head who also explained that it would not be possible for governments to solve all the problems of over 250 million Nigerians at a time but with patience and prayers all problems would be tackled by the government.

He urged the Federal Ministry of Information to extend its campaign messages to rural areas and in all local languages for the benefit of the rural people who constitute the majority of our population.

The Workshop provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions on various policies of the President Tinubu Administration which were effectively answered by the guest speaker.

In their separate remarks at the workshop the Adamawa state Director of the National Orientation (NOA) Mr. Richard Bala Dangari and the Director Media and Publicity of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Mal. Mohammed Mayes congratulated the Federal Ministry of Information for organizing the workshop and urged participants to pass the messages of the workshop to others.
